Week 1: SAB, Jack de Keyzer, Chuck Jackson

Tuesday January 8th, Thursday January 10th, Saturday January 12th

SAB has played, recorded and toured with an outstanding list of well-known musical legends including Ronnie Hawkins, Kris Kristopherson, Dr Hook, April Wine, Dutch Mason, Trooper, Jeff Healey and The Downchild Blues Band, just to name a few. His cherry whiskey-stained voice and stage presence makes dancing mandatory. Dana Mundell on percussion and Brent "The Alien" Bailey on Keyboard.

Jack de Keyzer. Blues, jazz, funky R&B and swing are all part of his musical palette. This much-acclaimed guitarist, singer and songwriter has worked with artists like King Biscuit Boy, Etta James, Blue Rodeo, Robert Gordon, Otis Rush and the Bop Cats. His guitar playing has been featured on hundreds of recordings.

Chuck Jackson is one of Canada's greatest singers and harp players. He played with the Downchild Blues Band, appearing on the JUNO nominated albums Good Times Guaranteed, Come On In and Lucky 13. Chuck was named Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2000 Maple Blues Award.

Week 2: Rick Steeves, David Rotundo, Dan Dufour

Wednesday January 23rd, Saturday January 26th

Rick Steeves returns to us after an absence of one year. On his last visit to Puerto Blues he had the crowd on their feet dancing for the entire night. We are all looking forward to another great set of music and humour.

A Juno Award winner, David Rotundo electrified the crowd at Puerto Blues 07 and returns to Puerto Escondido in 2008 with Dan Dufour to grace us with their unique brand of rockin' blues. Their return is greatly anticipated!

Week 3: Bruce Katz, Enrico Crivellaro, David Rotundo, Jimmy Bowskill

Wednesday February 6th, Saturday February 9th

Bruce Katz has played with the leading names in blues and roots music, appearing on over 50 CDs with artists such as Ronnie Earl, Levon Helm, the Allman Brothers and John Hammond, who says "This man is as good as it gets. One of the greatest keyboard artists I've ever heard." Bruce will help raise the talent bar at Puerto Blues to a whole new level.

Enrico Crivellaro's passion and talent transcend cultural borders. He is one of the most respected international blues artists, sharing the stage with the likes of John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Mose Allison and other greats. Enrico won many fans at last year's Puerto Blues, and they all look forward to the return of this fabulous guitarist!

Jimmy Bowskill is back for his third consecutive appearance at Puerto Blues. Now seventeen, Jimmy Bowskill brings a new diverse 70's flavoured CD. He has matured into one of Canada's top artists.

By popular demand, David Rotundo is being held over for what could be the greatest week in Puerto Blues history.

Week 4: Sugar Ray Norcia, Enrico Crivellaro, Gwyn Ashton

Wednesday February 20th, Saturday February 23rd

Grammy-nominated harmonica-playing lyricist, and singer, Sugar Ray Norcia has been entertaining audiences world wide since 1978. His unique voice, harp mastery and stage presence make him 2008's "must see". He's truell a world-class musician of the highest order.

Voted "guitarist of the year" in 2001, Gwyn Ashton has toured the world with the who's who of rock and blues. His great guitar riffs and vocals will close the show of Puerto Blues '08 in grand style. With Sugar Ray Norcia and Enrico Crivellaro, Gwyn helps complete the best-ever music season in Puerto Escondido.
